Lucille Carr-Kaffashan’s, Sunday, March 7 6:30pm
Lucille Carr-Kaffashan brings her critically acclaimed cabaret show, Finding Home, to the historic Stockton Inn. She will appear with her musical director and accompanist, David Brunetti, for one performance only on Sunday, March 7 at 6:30pm.
Finding Home brings the listener on a nostalgic journey that explores our various concepts of “home”. The program reflects Lucille’s diverse musical interests, featuring selections from musical theater giants such as Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, and Cole Porter, alongside those of contemporary singer-songwriters such as Randy Newman, Joni Mitchell, Billy Joel, Neil Sedaka, and Annie Dinerman. In his Cabaret Hotline Online review of Finding Home on 10/15/09, Stu Hamstra wrote that Lucille “has truly moved into that select group of seasoned, confident and expressive vocalists that make up the cream of NYC cabaret. Relaxed and at ease, every note true, every lyric clear, every intention fulfilled, Lucille glowed with warmth and feeling”. On 11/8/09 Laurie Lawson, from electroniclink.com, wrote: “With a soothing emotionally-loaded voice, she defines “home” in a variety of ways…..The music flows, the story unfolds, and Carr-Kaffashan makes you feel right at home with her many talents”.
The cover charge is $17, and there is a $10. food or drink minimum. Reservations can be made by calling 609-397-1250. Looking forward to seeing you at The Stockton Inn!!

Key of She,
Friday March 26 8:00pm
Key of She is a contemporary a cappella quintet with something to talk (and sing) about! The group performs original charts of everything from Gershwin to Sting, Bonnie Raitt to The Backstreet Boys, the ridiculous to the sublime. They opened for Ray Charles, appeared on The Jane Pauley Show, won Audience Favorite and Runner-Up titles at the New York Harmony Sweepstakes, and were one of six finalists in the A Cappella Performance Category of the International Just Plain Folks Music Awards, a.k.a. “the Grammies for the other 98%.” Their CD - In the Key of She - was one of ten nominated for Best A Cappella Album, Best Cover Song, and Best Female Artist from over 25,000 entries. But don't worry. They won't talk about that. To get the latest buzz, you’ll just have to come to the show. $15 cover charge. For more details go to www.keyofshe.com

A soulful voice combined with a tremendous gift for songwriting with influences of Dylan, Springsteen and Neil Young, briz blends both pop sensibility and folk tradition to create lyrics that are uniquely memorable and music that is commercially accessible yet brutally poignant. A relative newcomer to Americana music, briz has already shared the stage with such great acts as The Lovin' Spoonful, Gin Blossoms, The Band’s Jim Weider, Colleen Sexton, Small Potatoes, Leslie Ritter & Scott Petito, Bill Kirchen (lead guitarist for Commander Cody), Girls from Mars, and more!
briz is a 2001 Philadelphia Folk Factory Peoples Choice Winner! Visit www.brizsongs.com for more info.
PAST ENTERTAINMENT
2nd Annual Stockton Inn Liar’s Contest, Friday, January 29th 8:00pm
We are calling for all tales of phony hairpieces, emergency room mishaps, and awkward first dates. Won’t you join us for a night of tall tales and big laughs? In the Glass Room, storytellers will take the stage to spin the wackiest web conceivable. Last year a crowd of 30 packed the house despite snow and sleet. Would you like to tell your own story? The only rules are that the recitation must be under 6 minutes long, (reasonably) appropriate, and of course, utterly fabricated. A 3 panel judge will give the ruling on best story, and the winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Stockton Inn. Reservations are recommended, and signing up to confess your lies must be done by at least the 28th. Call 609-397-1250 to save your place!
New Year's Eve
We had a pretty special evening New Year’s Eve at The Stockton Inn, as we rang in 2010 with a bang and a bash.
Karl Dietel performed in the Glass Room from 8:30 until 12:30. Best known as the keyboard player for the road-warrior band The Samples, Karl has played nationwide, including at Red Rocks in Colorado!
We had the ball drop broadcast from Times Square on a 50” plasma in the Glass Room, and in addition to the great entertainment, we had some terrific additions to our regular menu.
As a way of saying thanks to all of those who have supported the Inn in 2009, there was no cover charge for the entertainment. Take a look at the New Year's Eve gala at the Stockton Inn with some coverage we had from famous glamorous TV personality, actress, and model, Cognac Wellerlane from Cognac’s Corner at www.cognacscorner
