First Annual Stockton Jazz Festival 2008!!!

Saturday and Sunday April 26 & 27. With the fantastic covered gardens, weather is never an issue.

On the heels of an exciting Blues Festival in September 2007, the Stockton Inn announces the line up for the Stockton Inn Jazz Fest coming April 26th and 27th 2008. Each day will consist of 6 fantastic entertaining Jazz band specialists.

Headlining the event are the legend Eddie Shaw and the Wolfgang and The Jim Weider Band.

Eddie Shaw and the Wolfgang are visiting from their sweet Chicago home. With an amazing history sheet longer than a slinky loping down the Empire State Building steps, Eddie brings his version of Chicago Jazz and Blues to the Stockton Inn. And lucky we are to get to enjoy his slice of heaven.

Grammy award winner Jim Weider returns to the Stockton Inn with his full band playing his recent release ‘Project Percolator.’ Project Percolator is proving to be the most interesting and powerful groove of rock/blues/jazz and funk. With a rock and roll hall of fame induction already under his belt, Jim continues the history of performing along side an eclectic mix the world’s best. The guitar never sounded so sweet!

The Saturday line up is: Krista Parrish and Tom Lawton, Donna Antonow Trio, Hot Club of Philly, Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble, Eric Mintel Quartet, and Don Mayer Trio.

The Sunday line up is: Lesley Byers and the Jazz Cats, Co-Op Bop, Melissa Martin and the Mighty Rhythm Kings, Jimmy Meyer Trio, Jim Weider Project Percolator, and Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang!!

Hold on to your hats!! Tickets are $55 for both days in advance or $30 each day at the door. Performers begin at approximately 1pm each day and finish approximately 8pm each day.

The Stockton Blues Festival Back in September 2008

- The first annual Stockton Blues Festival was a smash hit. With seven bands, a guest visit from Jim Weider and a fantastic closing by the New York City Blues Queen Roxy Perry, the Stockton Inn was electric. The weather was fantastic and the warm breeze kept the crowd comfortable as they enjoyed listening to the many excellent blues artists. DVDs of the event with the artists will be available shortly. Two Thousand dollars is being donated to NOVA in Doylestown and Safe in Hunterdon

1st Annual Stockton Firehouse Golf Fund Raiser 2007

- The first annual Stockton Firehouse Golf Benefit. A great success with excellent golf (not so excellent golfers but that was what made it fun), fantastic weather, fantastic food and an overall great day!!! Look for another Golf Benefit in April 2008 to again benefit the Stockton Firehouse. Next time we are going to launch a little competition with other local firehouses in the surrounding communities. Keep your eyes peeled for another great day on the links!
